HIGH DESERT OPPORTUNITY COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES 2004 KEYNOTE SPEAKER

The High Desert Opportunity Committee, comprised of local business people interested in promoting business growth in the high desert region has recently announced that the 2004 keynote speaker for their annual business conference will be Oliver North. The conference, to be held on Thursday October 21 at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds targets business owners, site locators and real estate brokers who are instrumental in business site decision-making.

Oliver L. North is a combat decorated marine, a best-selling author, the founder of a small business, an inventor with three U.S. patents, a syndicated columnist, former candidate for the United States Senate, the host of a nationally syndicated daily radio show and the host of War Stories on the Fox News Channel, yet claims his most important accomplishment as being “the husband of one and the father of four.”

His first two books, Under Fire and One More Mission were international best sellers. His latest book, Mission Compromised, also rose to the New York Times bestseller list. North is also the founder of Freedom Alliance, a foundation that provides scholarships for the sons and daughters of service members killed in-action.

The annual High Desert conference is a day-long event that includes exhibits from many local cities, chambers of commerce, business organizations, local businesses and services. The business owners, site locators and real estate brokers who attend the conference have the ability to gather information about the local business climate and opportunities. The goal is to increase interest in the high desert region and to enhance local business growth.

The High Desert Opportunity Committee believes that North will enhance the conference and will offer visitors another compelling reason to attend the event and learn more about local opportunities..
